Jahangirpur Surya Sen High School established in 1969 with multipurpose objects, attracts most of the students, brilliant and mediocre, with its well-disciplined teaching-learning environment, highly qualified and dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff, well-equipped Libraries, laboratories, computer room and arrangement of drinking water. The school has a heritage of good teachers. Some of them are retired and some are no more with us. Many of the students are well-established in the different fields of society within and abroad. The school is able to preserve its tradition and to march forward with modernity. Computer Section and Vocational Stream are new feathers to our prestigious hat.
At present we have near about 2000 students (v-xii)
